TAIWO AKINLAMI
Taiwo Akinlami is a globally recognized Family and Social Development Attorney and one of Africa’s foremost voices in Family Strengthening, Value-Driven and Opportunity-Responsive Parenting, and Child Safeguarding. As Chief Executive Officer of The Power Parenting Company LLC, he leads a transformative mission: to raise powerful children, explorers, reformers, and nation-builders, anchored in values and empowered by numbers.
Values signify moral fiber and integrity; numbers represent competence, influence, and impact, the tools children need to take their place at the gates and on the global stage.
Akinlami calls this paradigm Value-and-Number Parenting: a bold response to the 21st-century call to raise children who are both principled and powerful.
Recognized by the U.S. Government as a Person of Extraordinary Ability, he rose from a childhood of poverty and abuse to become a global systems-builder for a world fit for children.
Over nearly 30 years, he has worked with 250+ national and international organizations, including UNICEF, UNFPA, the British Council, and USAID, offering policy reform, legal advocacy, and capacity building. He pioneered the African-Sensitive Systems Approach to Securing A Friendly and Protective Environment for Children®, shaping Nigeria’s Child Rights Act (2003) and Lagos State’s Safeguarding Policy.
